Posted: Updated:

While the flu vaccine is in high demand, pharmacies across the country are seeing a shortage of liquid Tamiflu.

Tamiflu can reduce the severity of the flu when taken shortly after flu symptoms are present.

The liquid version is one of the leading medicines for children.

The company that manufactures Tamiflu says an larger than normal "Early demand" has caused the shortage.  The shortage of the liquid should only last through mid-January.  There is a good supply of the capsule version of Tamiflu.
