Phoenix Firefighters save dog trapped in apartment fire

PHOENIX (KSAZ) -

A dog is alive tonight after being resuscitated by Phoenix Fire Department firefighters when they found a dog in the back room of an apartment where a fire had broken out.

Crews responded to the fire after 5:45 p.m. Friday afternoon, no one was inside except the dog.

Firefighters from Phoenix Fire's Engine Company 27 B crew found the dog in the back bedroom barely breathing but with the help of a "Fido Bag" crews resuscitated the dog who is expected to make a full recovery.
