A man is charged for a north Austin car burglary and police say dog poop help connected him to the crime.
Andrew Carreira, 22, is charged with a state jail felony for burglary of a vehicle.
Court documents say late Wednesday night, an employee at Sam's Auto Imports called police after he heard car doors opening and then saw Carreira on surveillance footage get into a Dodge Magnum.
Police found Carreira walking away from the car shop.
The documents say an officer found dog feces next to the car that appeared to be stepped in. He also found dog feces inside the car and on Carreira's shoes.
