Surveillance Captures High Speed Chase; Watch Until The End

Posted: Updated:

A crazy high speed police chase is all caught on camera in Troutdale, Oregon. The chase ended when the suspect jumped off a bridge into a freezing cold river.

It all started when an officer tried to pull the woman over yesterday afternoon for a minor traffic violation.

Instead, she took off.

A wild police chase through busy city streets was caught on the officer's dash cam video.

Things turned dangerous as the woman driving the stolen car carelessly swerved through traffic, running red lights and hitting speeds of up to 60 miles-an-hour.

After several miles, the chase neared the stark street bridge. It's safe to say police weren't expecting what happened next

You can hear officers in the video say "don't do it! She just jumped in the river. Get river patrol started this way."

Rescue crews quickly pulled her out. She survived the fall with only minor injuries.

The suspect has a lengthy criminal history. You can see mug shots from prior arrests in the slide show above.

Records show Rebecca Humphries, the suspect has been convicted of theft and heroin possession.

Police have now cited her with several traffic crimes stemming from the high speed chase.
