NEW CARROLLTON, Md. -

Prince George's County Police have charged two women with first-degree murder in the shooting of a man in New Carrollton.

Twenty-eight-year-old Vondrell Smith was found outside a home early on New Year's Day, suffering from a gunshot wound. He died a short time later.

Police say Smith had gone to the home of 26-year-old Lakeisha Evans and 28-year-old Adrienne Bell and a confrontation broke out. Officers say Smith was shot.

Authorities say Evans and Bell ran away and were arrested Thursday at a relative's home in Laurel.
