Freezing rain advisory issued Friday morning across DC region

Posted: Updated:
The National Weather Service has issued a freezing rain advisory for the Friday morning commute, and much of the D.C. region is included.

The advisory is in effect from 3-9 a.m. Friday morning. Freezing rain of less than 1/10 of an inch is possible beginning in the predawn hours, and ending by mid-morning. This will include the morning commute, however.

Temperatures are expected to be around 30 degrees, with light winds. Untreated road surfaces could be icy and slippery for commuters. Drivers should use caution and slow down when they’re out on the roads Friday morning. -
