DC crowned "Gayest City" in America

WASHINGTON -

Washington, D.C. has been crowned 2014’s "Gayest City" in America, according to LGBT magazine The Advocate.

The magazine’s annual list is put together by looking at certain criteria, including gay elected officials and gay icons.

The top 5 "Gayest Cities" are as follows:

1. Washington, D.C.
2. Pasadena, California
3. Seattle, Washington
4. Cambridge, Massachusetts
5. Atlanta, Georgia

The District also ranked fourth on a list of destinations to move to in 2013.

Washington Dulles International Airport was ranked number one in MissTravel.com’s list of "America's Worst Airports to Get Stuck In."
