Temperatures Cause Pipes To Burst In Homes In Deptford

Posted: Updated:
DEPTFORD, NJ -

We're dealing with another day of bone-chilling temperatures.

And overnight, some people in Gloucester County were forced out of their homes when a pipe burst.

"And then I heard a pop; the dog started barking and started running toward the front doors, so I went into the second floor bedroom…and I heard water running. I thought it was rain…I looked the right to the vent and water just started pouring down," said Tawana Watson, a resident. "The sprinkler itself just started pouring down from the ceiling; not spraying, just dropping down from the ceiling."

The apartment complex is trying to get the water situation fixed and then fix the electrical malfunctions. Steve Keeley has more in the report above.
