When the temperatures drop, people will try to stay warm any way they can by lighting candles, firewood, and using heaters.

However, sometimes these efforts can unknowingly trigger fires.

Prince George's County Fire Chief Marc Bashoor joined us on FOX 5 News with some fire prevention and safety tips to help you stay safe this winter season.
