CHICAGO, Ill. (FOX 32 News) -

"On Christmas Day four young Chicago-area men provided clothing to 26 homeless men living on Lower Wacker Drive," says a YouTube video posted by Nate Fields.

"Hats, jackets, shoes that I haven't worn and shocked, amazed, you know a few people didn't want to wake up… At first they didn't want to take them, I asked would you like any pants or shorts, no. Then I asked what size pants do you wear, oh 32, 34… They were smiling, I saw the smile, it was a blessing," said Fields.

22 year old Nate Fields showed Fox 32's Tisha Lewis raw footage from a Christmas day mission with his friends.

The group spent the holiday giving clothing to homeless people.

Fields recorded video of the good deed, edited it on his iPad and then posted the video on YouTube and Twitter where he has more than 11,000 followers.

"It was one of those moments where I feel like God just threw it in me and told me to go do it," said Fields.

The response? Overwhelming.

"A lot of people talk about younger kids out here like we're always a threat or we're always trouble but that's not the case," said Fields.

Ministers and an assistant principal have responded.

"She messaged me on Facebook and said she would like me to come to her school and talk to her students about what we did and I said yeah, sure, I'll do that," said Fields.

Fields is a sophomore studying business at South Suburban College.

He says the message behind the video is, "Somebody is thinking about them, no matter where they're at, what they're doing, you know, somebody is thinking about their well-being down there."

The video is accompanied by R. Kelly's song, "The World's Greatest."
