Second arrest made in fatal Kirkwood bike trail shooting

ATLANTA -

Police have made a second arrest in the shooting death of U.S. Army soldier Xavier Arnold.

Atlanta police say 22-year-old Qutravius Palmer surrendered to authorities on Wednesday. He is charged with felony murder and armed robbery in the death of Arnold.

Police say Arnold, 21, died after being shot in the head while walking with his girlfriend and a friend along a bike trail in the 200 block of Warren Street in the Kirkwood neighborhood on Dec. 26.

A 14-year-old boy has also been charged with murder and a count of armed robbery. His name has not been released due to his age.
