CTA: New Year brings new, improved Ventra system

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

CTA riders will start the New Year with an improved Ventra system.

The CTA is adding new stickers to train and bus card readers.

The stickers show riders the perfect place to swipe their cards.

On buses, Ventra readers are being re-positioned to face directly at passengers as they board.

The CTA said the new position will make it quicker for passengers to get on and off.

Almost three out of every four rides on the CTA is now paid for by Ventra.
