HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) - Police were investigating after a bullet flew into a Long Island home.

Four people were in the Baldwin Road house in Hempstead early Sunday morning but no one was injured.

Police say the occupants heard a loud noise and then found a bullet had struck a picture hanging on the kitchen wall.

WCBS-AM says a black vehicle was seen heading north on Baldwin Road and two men running toward Windsor Parkway.

Anyone with information is asked to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at (800) 244-TIPS.
