New Year's Eve confetti test in Times Square

Posted: Updated:

Preparations are well underway for the big New Year's Eve celebration in Times Square.

Over the weekend, Spider Man helped with a confetti test to make sure the paper flutters down just right when the ball drops.

One ton of confetti will be released by hand from various buildings when the clock strikes midnight on January first.

Anyone in the area has until Monday night to submit their wishes that will then be mixed in with the falling confetti.

They can do so by posting their message on the New Year's Eve wishing wall in the Times Square Museum and Visitor Center.
