Chicago fans devastated after Packers defeat Bears for NFC North title

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Soldier Field was surrounded by droves of Bears fans and disappointment after Sunday's down-to-the-wire loss against the Packers.

"I was a little bit disappointed when there was 46 seconds left in the game and the Bears totally lost it, it was quite disappointing. So, I used the restroom and now I'm ready to get on the train," said Bears fan Becky Bolton.

Becky and Brian Bolton recall the jaw-dropping final seconds that clinched the playoff spot for the Packers.

"It was shocking. We thought we had it in the bag, thought it was over with," said Brian Bolton.

It's a tough loss for Bears fans.

Deon Washington and Malcolm Johnson are still breaking down what went wrong.

"I'm deflated. They just deflated me like I just couldn't believe this like, Rogers threw turnovers, we missed sacking him several... it's just I don't know. Thirty seconds, are you kidding me," said Washington.

"I had a lot of hope, you know what I'm saying, we made a turn-over in the game, you know I'm thinking, it's 27-28, it's only a couple minutes left on the score board and I'm like we got this, and then it happened that fast by the time I turned my head, Bears lost," said Johnson.

Playoff hopes shattered.

Packers' dreams granted.

"We're really excited," said Packers fan Julie Olson.

"You could not write this script. Two players that were not even activated last week, on the fourth down play got a touch-down pass to win the game, it's unbelievable," said Packers fan Lori Thompson.

But no gloating for Packers fans Julie Olson and Lori Thompson, surrounded by Bears fans nursing the big loss.

"It's not good," said Olson.

"It's kind of scary," said Thompson.

What started as a day filled with playoff hopes, ended in a stunning upset made in the final moments and minute of Sunday's game.
