Man offers reward for dog who protected him during robbery

Posted: Updated:
COLLEGE PARK, Ga. -

It was Christmas morning when a man was woken up by someone pounding on the door of his motel room in College Park. He heard a woman pleading for help on the other side.

But what the pair on the other side of the door really wanted was his wallet. It was an incident he says would have been successful had it not before his loyal dog.

Craig Touchet says he opened a little only to have it be forced open on him by a man with a gun. His dog, Baby Girl, got in between him and the gunman, but his gun went off. The resulting sound scared away his best friend.

He is now offering up a $1,000 reward for the safe return of Baby Girl.
