Sometimes when you want to get your message out, you just need to make sure people can see you. You are about to meet a woman who has found a unique way of doing that.
And she is on the move.
“I've always wanted to own my own business,” she said. “I had a brainstorm session with a few friends.”
They came up with the idea to advertise on her wheelchair.
Twila was born with spina bifida.
“I have use of more of my upper body,” she said.
She lives in Maryland and works as an administrative assistant. Two years ago, she started a business called “Ads on a roll.” She is getting good at convincing businesses to advertise.
“I tell them that I help them to get their business rolling,” said Moorman Hunt.
She hopes to create opportunities for other people with disabilities and strengthen their financial independence.
“I’m looking for employees and I'm also looking for businesses to advertise for,” she said.
Ads range in cost from $300 to $750 for a month of service.
“I think about this and I work on it every single day,” Moorman Hunt said.
“That's a great business idea. I just want to congratulate you,” said one passerby to Twila.
“I think there's no limit to what a person can do,” said Twila.
