We all know the job description: making a list, checking it twice, flying around the world and delivering toys to billions of children.
But do you know what Santa could charge for his unique business model?
According to a new study, not much.
Insure.com, an insurance resource website, crunched the numbers, and based on work duties alone, Santa would earn about $137, 795 dollars a year.
The company matched jolly old Saint Nick's various roles with the Bureau of Labor Statistics hourly wage data to calculate the figure.
As a manufacturing executive he'd haul in about $114,000 buck and as a professional shopper, about $19,000.
The study says as a labor relations specialist, Santa would earn $49,000 and as an investigator into questions of naughtiness or niceness he would learn about $700.
A separate compensation consultant says Santa's hypothetical market value is closer to $1.4 million annually.
