Missing Howard County man found safe

Howard County Police have located a missing elderly man unharmed. Thomas Edwin Blewett, 76, of Columbia, was found around 8:30 a.m. at Lotte Plaza in Ellicott City.  He was in good condition and was taken home by police.


Howard County Police have issued a silver alert for a missing elderly man who suffers from dementia. 76 year old Thomas Edwin Blewett was last seen at his home in the 6400 block of White Peach Place in Columbia around 4 p.m. Saturday.  He a white male, 6'2", 190 lbs. brown eyes, gray hair, wearing a dark blue sweater, blue golf-style shirt, black slacks and black leather dress shoes.

Blewett is driving a gray, 2010 Jeep Cherokee, Maryland tag 99911CC.

Police believe Blewett was on his way to Saint Paul's Catholic Church on St. Paul's Street, Ellicott City. It is unknown whether he made it to the church. He does not have a cell phone. Blewett went missing for several hours last month and was found at the Columbia Mall unable to locate his vehicle. He does not have any family members or friends who he would visit in the area.
