PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say a three-day roundup of suspects in robbery, theft and burglary case netted 151 arrests in several urban areas of Arizona.

According to the U.S. Marshals Service, 27 agencies participated in the roundup called "Operation Grinch Stopper 2."

The arrests this week included 112 in Maricopa and Pinal counties. The others were made in the Tucson, Yuma and Flagstaff areas.

One of those arrested was former Phoenix Suns player Richard Dumas.

The U.S. Marshals Service says Dumas was arrested Thursday in Litchfield Park on a warrant charging him with eight counts of organized retail theft.

Marshals Service spokesman Frederick Freeman says the charges against Dumas result from a Maricopa County indictment, but he didn't immediately have further information.

Dumas was booked into a Maricopa County jail late Thursday, and it's not immediately known whether he has a lawyer.

Dumas played for the Suns from 1992 to 1995.

U.S. Marshal David Gonzales says the operation is a response to the November 2012 wounding of a Tucson police sergeant who was shot while responding to a burglary alarm.

Gonzales says the operation should help reassure law-abiding citizens that there are few thieves, robbers and burglars on the loose during the holiday season.
