Here's what you need to know from The Fitz File for Friday, December 20, 2013:

OBAMACARE MANDATE DELAY - If you got your insurance canceled this fall because it didn't meet the Obamacare standards, there is good news for you this morning. The Obama administration announced last night people whose insurance plans were canceled this year will "temporarily" be exempted from the law's individual mandate under the laws "hardship exemption." It's still not good enough for House Republican Leader Rep. Eric Cantor who again is calling for the entire law to be delayed just 10 days before the mandate goes into effect, and 3 days left to get a policy that starts by January 1st. The number are still lagging far behind where they should be if the White House ever hopes to hit its "8 Million by March" figure that it so often cited.

A.F. GENERAL IN HOT WATER - The US Air Force's slogan is "Aim High" but according to a new report out by the Air Force Inspector General, the behavior of the General in charge of nuclear weapons sunk pretty low. Maj. Gen. Michael Carey, who was run's the arsenal of intercontinental ballistic missiles, “acted in a manner that exceeded the limits of accepted standards of good conduct” on a 4 day trip to Moscow in July. Among the incidents: drinking too much, behaving obnoxiously, insulting his russion hosts, and fratenizing with two women he met at a bar. It's all a major no-no for nuclear commanders on overseas trips anywhere, especially in Russia who is currently playing host to Edward Snowdent who spilled the NSA secrets. He's been removed from his command with he 20th Air Force but hold onto his rank.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT DEPORTATIONS - Think you were busy in 2013? Well the folks over at Immigration and Customs Enforcement (who go by the steely nickname of ICE) are out with their year-end number and they have been active this year. ICE conducted a total of 368,644 removals, 235,093 of whom were apprehended while attempting to illegally enter the United States, and 133,551 of whom were apprehended in the interior of the US. Nearly 60% of ICE’s total removals had been previously convicted of a criminal offense, and that number rises to 82 percent for individuals removed from the inside of the U.S.

HILLARY 2016 DECISION? Hillary Rodham Clinton says she will "make that decision sometime next year." when asked about running for President in 2016. In an interview with Barbara Walters, the former Secretary of State says it's a "difficult decision" she does not want to rush into. But while waving off the direct question, Clinton went on to say that she thinks the next campaign should focus on domestic issues like unemployment, people "getting kicked off food stamps" and small business that cannot get access to credit. Right now she's writing a book. Sure, the interview is a bit of a tease, but good luck though finding any pundints who think Clinton won't run in 2016.
