LONG BEACH (FOX 11) - For the second time in two weeks a sperm whale was spotted off the Long Beach coast, an "unusual" sighting, according to experts at Aquarium of the Pacific in what they are calling an active whale watching season.

Sperm whales, orca, humpback, and gray whales are among the cetaceans seen swimming off the coast this week in Long Beach, according to a news release issued by the aquarium.

"Sperm whales are very rarely seen off Southern California, and orca sightings here are also uncommon," according to the news release. "Experts will delve into why these animals are here and discuss conservation issues involving whales in these urban waters."

Clippers owner Donald Sterling repeatedly consented to his wife selling the Clippers while facing the prospect of being stripped of the team by the NBA, then suddenly changed his mind and disregarded the terms of the family trust, Shelly Sterling's attorney told a judge today.
Shelly Sterling acted properly in removing her husband as a director of the family trust that owns the Los Angeles Clippers, and she has the authority to sell the team despite Donald Sterling's objections, a judge tentatively ruled on Monday.
