Another wintry mix on the way for Saturday

Posted: Updated:
ACCUWEATHER - A new storm will move in Saturday with a wintry mix.

While warmer air and rain will move up with that storm around Washington, D.C., odds favor some snow, or icy mix for a brief time at the onset.

There is the potential for slippery roads for at time, especially north and west of the city.

The wintry precipitation is likely to occur during the Army-Navy Classic Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Enough snow and icy mix can fall not only to impact the game at Philadelphia, but also to disrupt travel throughout the Northeast region.

If the changeover to rain is delayed north and west of the city, then there could be a few inches of snow and slush.

The storm will have exited the Washington, D.C., area by Sunday.

Areas made wet and slushy from melting Sunday will freeze Sunday night. Be alert for black ice as a result.
