CASA GRANDE, Ariz. -

Authorities say the bodies of two adults and a child have been found inside a home after an early-morning fire in an unincorporated area of Pinal County near Paseo Del Sol and Henness Road.

Pinal County sheriff's office spokesman Tim Gaffney says a home in the Desert Highlands subdivision was engulfed in flames around 6:30 a.m. Friday.

As crews with Regional, Casa Grande and Gila River Fire Departments fought the fire, deputies began talking to neighbors to try and determine who lived at the home.

The victims' identities have not yet been officially confirmed, but Pinal County sheriff's office identified the people living in the four-bedroom home:  Dr. Joyce Bonenberger, 51, her husband Dennis Brough, 50, and their son, Trevor, 11 years old.

Gaffney says both family vehicles were still there.

Dr. Bonenberger has been the chief of surgery at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center for the past nine years.  A statement from the hospital was released from hospital CEO Rona Curphy that says: "Dr. Bonenberger was a beloved member of the CGRMC Medical Staff.  She was a surgeon who made a real difference in the lives of many patients and staff members in our community."

PCSO Sheriff Paul Babeu says the bodies are badly burned and their identities and cause of death will need to be determined by the county medical examiner's office.

Detectives and fire investigators are trying to determine how the blaze began.
