Roads reopen after 2 killed in crash on Baltimore-Washington Parkway

CHEVERLY, Md. -

Authorities say two people are dead after a crash on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.

U.S. Park Police say the crash occurred around 2 a.m. Thursday when a truck slowed to take the Landover Road exit and a sedan slammed into the back of the truck and flipped onto its roof.

Police say two of the four people in the car were pronounced dead on the scene and two others were taken to an area hospital in serious condition. Two people in the truck suffered minor injuries.

Northbound lanes were closed between Kenilworth Avenue and New York Avenue for several hours Thursday morning. Thy have since reopened.
