Police seek puppy thief

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - Police on Long Island are looking for a man who stole an expensive puppy from a pet store.

Nassau County police say it happened at the Shake-A-Paw on Atlantic Ave. in Lynbrook.  The incident happened in late September but the photo was just released on Wednesday.

Police say the man took an 8-week-old cream-colored Maltese poodle and left without paying for the $995 dog.

The photo appears to show the man holding a child in his arms inside the store.

Anyone with information or can identify the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.  There's a $5,000 reward and police say you can remain anonymouse.
