New documentary outlining DIA history airs tonight

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

Tonight at 9 p.m. Detroit Public TV will air "Detroit Art City," a documentary about the museum's history including its current fight for protection during the city's bankruptcy.

The 60-minute program will also be streamed live at www.dptv.org/dia.

Since its founding in 1885, the DIA has come to be recognized as one of the top art museums in the U.S.

Ed Moore, Executive Director of Documentary Programs for DPTV joined Fox 2 this morning to talk about the project. You can watch that interview by clicking the video player at the top of the screen.
