Low temperatures overnight could lead to refreeze, icy conditions

Posted: Updated:
WASHINGTON -

The D.C. area got a second round of snow on Tuesday morning, and it was more than a dusting. Some spots reported several inches, but by noon, much of it had come to an end.

Temperatures overnight into Wednesday morning will be in the low-teens to the low 20s in the D.C. region. This could mean a hard refreeze for some of the snow and ice that have melted Tuesday afternoon. Be careful of black ice on the roads during your Wednesday morning commute!

Though the system passed quickly, the snow itself won’t be melting entirely anytime soon. Temperatures will hover around freezing for the rest of the week.
