21 Men Arrested In Undercover Prostitution Sting In Moreno Valley

Posted: Updated:

MORENO VALLEY (CNS/FOX 11) - Three men have been charged with felony solicitation and drug offences, and another 21 charged with misdemeanor prostitution, after an undercover police operation, police said today.

Sgt. Brian Holmes of the Moreno Valley Police Department, said police conducted a prostitution sting at a motel on the 23000 block of Sunnymead Blvd. in Moreno Valley on Dec. 5 in response to community complaints.

Holmes said 21 men were arrested for prostitution during the operation, with four charged with possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.

The men charged with felony narcotics offences, Tanner Schiller, 22, of San Bernardino, Lamar James, 31, of Perris, and Abdul Abugherir, 33 of Riverside, had offered drugs instead of currency to undercover officers to compete the solicitation transaction, Holmes said.

"Johns" are becoming a priority for Law enforcement officers. The idea is that by reducing the number of customers, the number of women who are forced into prostitution will decrease as well.
