Teacher Arrested For Cocaine Possession

Posted: Updated:
Union City, New Jersey (My9NJ) -

Apparently, Kim Innocenti, a 6th grade teacher at Robert Waters Elementary School in Union City is still teaching after recently being convicted of possession of cocaine when she allegedly tried to bring the drugs to an inmate in the Allenwood Federal Penitentiary.

Over the summer, Innocenti pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine in Pennsylvania. She paid over a $2000 fine, got two years’ probation and home detention for eight months with an electronic monitoring bracelet.

Ironically, no one at the school seemed to know about this incident including kids and parents in Innocenti’s class.

In fact, spokesperson for the school, Joe Lauro, said that this was the first they were hearing of the arrest. The district went on to say that now Ms. Innocenti is not teaching at the school and “will not be coming back to the classroom”.

The Board and attorneys for the school are determining the proper way to deal with Ms. Innocenti, but Lauro went on to say that not informing the school of an arrest generally results in termination.

The district spokesman says he wonders why no one, including the US Attorney who prosecuted Ms. Innocenti, informed the school of her conviction.

Perhaps most troubling thing about this situation, Innocenti told the judge that she originally purchased the cocaine from an unknown man in an area around Robert Waters School.

StubHub, which is a website that provides services for buyers and sellers for tickets to sporting events, concerts, and other live entertainment events, has been hacked. StubHub is getting a lot of bad press, but the site is really the victim here. The hackers have hacked accounts from other sites, and then used that information to get into the StubHub accounts.
