Man shot to death at BP gas station in Forestville

Posted: Updated:

Prince George's County police are on the lookout for the suspect or suspects who killed a 25-year-old man early Monday morning at a Forestville BP gas station.

The victim has been identified as Dalonte Allen Jackson of Fort Washington. He was inside the gas station around 3 a.m. when he was gunned down.

Police say they believe robbery was the motive.

It is unclear if Jackson was paying for gas or had gone inside the convenience store area to buy something. There is a Western Union office inside the station where people wire money, but it was closed at the time of the shooting.

Customers at the gas station told FOX 5 the area around Walters Lane and Pennsylvania Avenue has been plagued by crime for years. They say many people who live near there are afraid to leave their homes.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest. Anyone who wants to leave an anonymous tip can call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS.
