SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. -

A motorcycle driver and their passenger were both seriously injured after colliding with a truck that allegedly ran a stop sign.

According to roadway evidence and witness statements, Pinal County sheriff's office says a truck drove through a stop sign at the intersection of Ocotillo Road and Cambria Lane on Wednesday and proceeded to turn left.

As the truck driver was turning, a motorcycle driving on the street was unable to avoid it and slammed into the truck.

Both the motorcycle driver and the passenger were flown to a hospital with serious injuries to their legs.

No one in the truck was injured.

Both motorcycle riders were wearing helmets.

Alcohol and drug don't appear to be factors in the crash.

No names have been released.
