Hi-Tech Bra Aims To Curb Emotional Eating

Posted: Updated:

It makes you look sexy, but it could potentially help you stay healthy too. Microsoft hopes to finish its design of a futuristic high-tech bra.

Currently, Microsoft has tested its high-tech bra. The bra works by detecting changes in your heart rate and body temperature, which can provide precursors to stress and over-eating. The bra also sends a message to a smart-phone app, giving you real-time "mood triggered eating" alerts.

The prototype is promising, but you have to charge it every three hours, which isn't too practical yet.

Microsoft is also working on a bracelet that does the same thing. This aims to give men a way to monitor their eating too.

The lead researcher hopes that these products will make people immediately aware of maladaptive behaviors and encourage them to replace them with adaptive ones.
