PHOENIX (AP) - A man accused of killing his wife at their Scottsdale home eight months ago has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.

Maricopa County prosecutors say 61-year-old Michael Jay Cohn entered his plea Monday.

He originally pleaded not guilty in the case in April and was facing a charge of first-degree murder.

Scottsdale police say Cohn called 911 on March 27 and said he had strangled his 60-year-old wife.

Responding officers found Linda Cohn's body in a bathroom.

Officers said they noticed blood on Michael Cohn's hands and scratches on his neck and he asked for an attorney.
