Stop sign, crosswalk cameras in place in DC

Posted: Updated:
WASHINGTON -

Dozens of new traffic cameras in the District are looking for dangerous drivers.

They're part of the D.C. Street Safe campaign.

132 cameras, including speed and red light cameras, started snapping pictures over the weekend.

They're watching for people who don't come to a complete stop at a stop sign and those who don't yield for people in a crosswalk among other offenses.
