Uses For Toothpaste

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

There's one product in your house that can do more than what it's made for: toothpaste.

Of course we use it to clean our teeth, but you may want to pick up some extra tubes because you can use it in a ton of other ways around the house!

  • Experts say that it can remove carpet stains. All you have to do is scrub with toothbrush and a toothpaste then blot with a damp cloth.
  • Toothpaste can also clean up scratched DVD's and CD's! Just put a small amount of toothpaste on the scratch with a cloth, and buff the damaged disks.
  • It can clean the insides of water bottles, baby bottles and thermoses. If you love to reuse bottles, just use a brush and toothpaste to scrub them, and then rinse with hot water.
  • Forget the manicure, use some toothpaste! If your nails are discolored from old polish, scrubbing with toothpaste can help them glow again.
  • And lastly, patch holes in the walls! If you have a lot of thumbtack holes in drywall, just fill them with a little toothpaste, and then smooth over with a piece of cardboard.

Experts say that it's important to use plain white toothpaste for all of these tasks.
