Teen Injured After Being Thrown From Car

WAYNE, Pa. -

A 17-year-old was taken to the hospital after being thrown from a car.

The Archdiocese Of Philadelphia says it happened in the parking lot of Archbishop Carroll High School in Wayne,PA at 2:15pm.

Officials say student was thrown from the side runner board of a car and suffered a head injury. They say they're praying for his family.

Archbishop Caroll High School has issued the following statement:

At this point our understanding is that a student was thrown from the side runner board of a car and suffered a head injury. Radnor Police and first responders were called to the scene and the student was transported for treatment via medevac. The injured student's family has been informed. A communication regarding this incident will be sent to all school families today. The Office of Catholic Education will conduct a full, internal investigation of this incident.

No word yet on that boy's condition.
