The Property Brothers shooting in Atlanta

Posted: Updated:

There's no project too big for The Property Brothers, and now they're bringing their expertise to the south!  Twin brothers Jonathan and Drew Scott are shooting episodes for the 7th season of their hit show here in Atlanta, and they dropped by Good Day to visit.

Here's the info on the projects the guys mentioned on Good Day:

The black and white drapes: Sewing DIY- I purchased the fabric from ikea for $8 a yard and sewed two panels to give a dramatic feel to the space. The look and feel of this type of stripe drape is very hot right now. The bold stripe could be found at places like Z-Gallery for double the price.

Ceiling Moulds: I purchased ceiling moulds from Home Depot (plastic) for about $13-25 each and spray painted them high gloss white. Makes great art for a tiny budget.  You can go to any architectural place and buy the plaster ones for $75-100 ish each.

Swinging Bench Rope: Found pulleys at a second hand shop for $30.00 each and rope from Home Depot for $11 for 20 yrds. Bought the bench for $100.00 and spray painted it. Tied the rope and pulleys together to create something unique. A fixed swinging bench set up like this in a retailer would cost anywhere from $500 and up.
