Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

A 1-year old child and her father were struck by a train Friday night at 30th Street Station.

Police said it happened at 8:05 p.m. when a 22-year-old man was holding his young daughter on the westbound platform on the Market-Frankford Elevated Line.

According to police, the father was too close to edge of platform when a train came in at about 5 to 10 mph, hitting him and his daughter.

Both were both taken to area hospitals.

We're told the baby is at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in critical condition with a head injury.

The father went to University of Pennsylvania Hospital and is in stable condition.

FOX 29's Omari Fleming had more details in this live report Friday night from 30th Street Station.
