DETROIT (AP) -- Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius says she's confident a troubled federal website will work much better by month's end so people can sign up for health insurance.

Sebelius visited a Detroit health center on Friday to reassure the public about website and discuss how to enroll. She told reporters a "small number" of people are seeing their policies canceled in the "grand scheme" of the overall insurance marketplace, but for them it's a real concern.

President Barack Obama says his administration no longer will require insurers to jettison plans that fall short of minimum coverage standards.

Sebelius says many people with canceled policies will choose better private insurance on the website. But she says the last thing Obama wants is people without coverage.
