24-year-old David Goldberg of Potomac is facing attempted murder charges after a double stabbing at Westfield Montgomery Mall.

When he surrendered to police, they found his two-year-old daughter in the car.

Witnesses say the incident started with a near miss at a mall stop sign. The drivers then confronted each other in the parking lot near Sears.

That is when the 31-year-old driver of one car was cut on the face and his 28-year-old female passenger was stabbed in the stomach. Her injuries are serious. The driver's injuries are non-life-threatening.

After the stabbing, Goldberg fled to the roof of the parking deck and his car broke down. He called police and they came and arrested him.

Besides two counts of attempted first-degree murder, Goldberg has also been charged with two counts of second-degree assault.

He is being held without bond.
