Former Pa. Sen. Fumo Hospitalized

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Former state Sen. Vincent Fumo's has been taken to a Philadelphia hospital for internal bleeding, possibly related to a biopsy Fumo recently had to determine whether he has prostate cancer.

A hospital spokeswoman, Chrissy Driadon tells The Associated Press Fumo remained in fair condition Monday night.

The 70-year-old former lawmaker served four years in federal prison for a public corruption conviction, and returned in August to finish his sentence on house arrest at his Philadelphia mansion. Fumo's sentence runs through February.
