Man robs bank, gets away on a bicycle

A man robbed a bank in Fredericksburg, VA on Saturday and got away on a bicycle.

Fredericksburg Police say just before the bank closed at noon, a man walked into the Union First Market Bank on Kenmore Avenue, gave a note to a teller and demanded money.

The suspect then pedaled away from the scene on a bicycle.

Fredericksburg police called in a tracking dog from Spotsylvania County. The dog followed a track for some distance before losing it.

The suspect is a black male, in his mid 40s to mid 50s. He was wearing a gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt and black pants or sweat pants, and had black square-rimmed sunglasses.
