Body Found In Commercial Building Fire Wreckage

LOS ANGELES (FOX 11/CNS) - Firefighters today found a dead body inside a rekindled commercial structure fire on the outskirts of downtown Los Angeles, a fire official said.

The body was found at 719 E. 9th Place. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene at 6:57 a.m., said Shawn Lenske of the Los Angeles City Fire Department.

A fire had been reported at the same location at 1:48 a.m. Friday, he said.

A cause of the fire and a cause of the death were under investigation by arson investigators and the Los Angeles Police Department, Lenske said.
