ATLANTA (AP) - More than 1,300 Latino teens are expected to gather at Emory University for a conference meant to motivate students to go to college and pursue careers.

The Latin American Association's 14th Annual Latino Youth Leadership Conference on Saturday will feature motivational speakers, workshops and other activities. Students from more than 90 schools around Georgia are expected to participate.

Pulitzer-prize winning journalist and author of "Enrique's Journey" Sonia Nazario is scheduled to hold several workshops, including one on how to tell one's own story.

There will also be workshops on how to apply for scholarships and financial aid, how to fill out a college application, and how to pursue careers in science. There will also be a college and career fair.
