Middle School Worker Charged in Peeping Tom Incidents

Posted: Updated:
GAITHERSBURG, Md - Montgomery County Police Officers responded to the Herbert Hoover Middle School in Rockville yesterday, after two female students had just notified school personnel of prior peeping tom incidents that had occurred in the girls’ locker room.
Investigation revealed that two peeping tom incidents occurred on or about October 1 and on November 6.

Police charged 28 yr old Josh Andrew Greenberg from Gaithersburg, with two counts of visual surveillance with prurient intent.  Greenburg is a building service worker at the school.

In this middle school, a staff office is located adjacent to the girls’ locker room.  In the staff office, there is a window with blinds that looks into the girls’ locker room.

Greenberg used the staff window to observe girls changing their clothes in the locker room.  School video surveillance helped in the identification of Greenberg as the suspect.
The Montgomery County Public School system has confirmed that it has placed Greenberg on administrative leave.
