A driver who stopped to help a stranded motorist was struck and killed on Interstate 20 in DeKalb County on Friday, police said.
Several lanes of Interstate 20 eastbound were blocked past Wesley Chapel Road in DeKalb County after the fatal accident, which occurred around 2:15 p.m.
According to police, a motorist had stopped to help another driver who had a flat tire. The motorist who stopped to help was struck and killed by a third vehicle, DeKalb County police said.
The driver of the third vehicle did stop after the accident. No charges have been filed yet.
