Wolcheck's Shame Alert: "FBI" virus freezes your computer and demands ransom

A suburban computer repair shop says a lot of its business lately is clearing personal computers infected with "ransomware," a virus that freezes your computer screen and demands payment to free it.

The latest variation is the "FBI bug" which claims the FBI has caught you looking at something illegal and demands payment to "forgive" the "first offense" matter. The most common sites that trigger the bug are adult-oriented sites.

We talk to the real FBI and, naturally, they have nothing to do with it.
