PHILADELPHIA -

Police released surveillance video Monday of a robbery in Pennypack during which a clerk was beaten, tied up and robbed.

According to police, it was Friday at 4:30 a.m. when the two males wearing masks entered the 7-Eleven located on the 2900 block of Welsh Road.

Police said they need the public's help in identifying the two suspects caught on camera.

One suspect pulled a handgun and forced a 60-year-old clerk to open the cash register, police say. Once the cash register was opened, the employee was forced to the ground, where he was beat with a gun and tied up. Both robbers then took cash from the register, and they also grabbed cigarettes, opened all the drawers and cleaned other items from shelves behind the counter.

The males then fled the store north on Welsh Road.

Police described the two suspects as white and approximately 20-years-old. One stood about 5 feet 6 inches tall with a medium build. The other was 6 feet 1 inch tall with a heavy build. Watch the attached video to see more details.
