FAIRBURN, Ga. -

It has only been a few months since Creekside High School football player DeAntre Turman died from a fractured vertebrae he received during a scrimmage game in August.

His story has touched many, but not as much as one New York head and neck specialist. Dr. Patrick Kerr has developed a special collar which would help prevent such injuries.

This weekend, he donated 70 of those collars to Turman's teammates to keep them safe.
